Wanna Laugh on Sunday?

Three years ago, I was struck by the call of the open road and built a minivan into the world’s smallest RV with my very own hands. Since then, I have been travelling the US and Canada, bringing a story based, funny, uplifting message to congregations. The video above is the beginning of my most popular sermon, and will give you a sense of if my style is a fit for your congregation.

How does this tour business work?

First, congregations fill out the form below, which puts them on a spreadsheet. When I’m planning my travels, I look at that sheet and contact congregations that are en route to see if they’re still interested. Full disclosure, I only get to about a third of the congregations that ask—there just aren't enough Sundays for all the wonders of the world.

Please note that this form will not email me directly—I only look at the spreadsheet a few times a year at most. If you are trying to reach me, you should use the direct contact form. Also, please use the direct contact if you’re interested in something other than a Sunday morning (ie. a retreat or a weekend event), or if you aren’t located in the US or Canada.

”If you are looking for an engaging, witty, eloquent speaker Capital Unitarian Universalist Congregation (CUUC) recommends inviting Liz James to your community. Looking back at the comments from our Sunday Service Committee's meeting there is one word next to Liz's service "WOW." Liz's sermon was so extraordinarily presented and delivered that CUUC invited her back a mere two months later. Nearly three weeks after Liz's second service for CUUC the congregation is still talking about her vivid presentation, her unique style and timely topic. The congregation was enthralled. -Amanda Tarling, service coordinator of CUUC

“Liz James provides an engaging, inspiring, well-informed, laughter-infused sermon or other presentation. In a post-service discussion forum, Liz brings her whole self and interacts sensitively with participants.” -Trude Diamond

“An hour with Liz is like finding your new best friend - hearts and minds ignited, plus a ridiculous amount of fun.” -Rev Anne Barker
